Hey there folks, and welcome to Educating Entrepreneurs. We are here to help you learn the path to success in entrepreneurship, business, and life. The whole reason we came together to create this community to help take the fear and misconceptions out of whatever it is that you think “entrepreneurship” truly is. We want to help you learn through real world examples, giving you tangible tools, skills, and knowledge so that you can sidestep the problems that will inevitably arise as you begin your journey as an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship is not the quick and easy way to “fast money” as many portray it as today. It is a long and arduous process and takes tireless dedication as you begin to build your brand and your company. However, it is undoubtedly and irrevocably fulfilling having the opportunity to wake up each day to do what you love, build your own brand, and create your own success. As an entrepreneur, you have the opportunity to be your own boss, set your own schedule, and be as successful as you set your mind to. Regardless of the reason you are here or what you want out of entrepreneurship, we want to teach you some ways of the craft and give you real life examples of problems we all had as entrepreneurs so that you do not have to fall into the trap of making the same mistakes yourself.
The term entrepreneurship takes on a different role in every individuals life and it comes differently to each person that encounters it. Today, we want to give you insight into our own Educating Entrepreneurs team, let you know how we all got into the life of entrepreneurship, and give you a quick snapshot of the various roles and traits of the individuals that make this company a possibility. We look forward to getting to know each and every one of you on this journey and hope that this knowledge will help you with the struggles and hurdles (and of course successes) that will come to you as you traverse this journey of entrepreneurship.
We came together at Educating Entrepreneurs because we, at one point or another, were all entrepreneurs, business owners, and self-starters, and felt that there was enough tangible and actionable information to help learn about the ins and outs of successfully starting your own business. Thus, one summer a group of four came together to create what is now known as Educating Entrepreneurs and we have never looked back sense. One thing that is critical to the success and development of our company is that we have a diverse and complementary team. Although we all have entrepreneurial experience, we all came to the field in a very different way and we all bring different skills and perspectives to the table, which helps us to cover our gaps and build a comprehensive image of multiple different entrepreneurial experiences and journeys. Without further hesitation, here is the team.
Our first member is Joey, he brings the financial prowess and money management skills that makes our company tick. He is currently a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the financial services firm CliftonLarsonAllen. Joey brings our team the level-headed mindset that helps us make smart, calculated decisions when it comes to decisions involving money management, which most decisions do. Joey entered entrepreneurship through the creation of Three Timbers Landscaping, which was owned and operated by three of the four members of our team, also including Bobby and Brady (who we will introduce later). This experience gave Joey his introduction to entrepreneurship and sparked his interest for the field as a whole and this ultimately made him a perfect fit for the Educating Entrepreneurs team.
Our second team member is Brandon. He is the creative and free spirit that the team needs for all things promotion, marketing, and content. Brandon graduated with a degree in Digital Media Arts and creates incredible content through all our social media platforms, podcast channels, and video streams. He is the man that makes the podcasts sounds as good as they do, he is the one that provides you with your day to day content and helps bring a creative light to anything our company touches. Brandon ran the podcast channel for his college at his time in university and continues to bring the entertaining content to our team today. With his well-versed ability to create something out of nothing, Brandon makes our team look better than it really is and provides you with all the material the you see on a daily basis, we truly couldn’t do what we do without him.
Our third team member is Bobby Mason, the born and bred entrepreneur of the group. He is the true-hearted entrepreneur and it has shown from his past work with various different companies. Bobby has founded more than five companies of his own and has acquired funding from some of the largest companies in the United States, including the likes of Microsoft, Google, and Best Buy. Bobby has a deeply ingrained passion to start companies and his run so far has been nothing short of successful. He currently focuses on his recent startup GoMahi, which helps bring individuals through the Design Sprint framework to help individuals and companies solve their most pressing pain points. Bobby graduated with a degree in entrepreneurship and real estate, making him not only well experienced, but is very well versed in the subject matter around all things entrepreneurship. There’s not much that Bobby can’t do, as seen from his past performance, and he is a perfect member to have on the Educating Entrepreneurs team, as we work to bring you the best business and life practices to help bring yourself and your company to the next level.
Our final team member is Brady, who is our medical and healthcare entrepreneur of the team. Brady’s first touchpoint with entrepreneurship came with the operations and growth of Three Timbers Landscaping (which we talked about with the other two Educating Entrepreneur members earlier). He went on to become part of the Entrepreneur Scholars cohort, which further fueled his entrepreneurial mindset. Brady’s differentiating factor is that he comes from entrepreneurship from a medical background, looking to solve the most pressing health and medical problems facing our society today. Although once considering medical school, he is now turned his focus to bridging the gap between health, medicine, innovation, and entrepreneurship, to bring fresh perspective and problem-solving abilities to the medical realm. Brady had the opportunity to work with Mayo Clinic Ventures with the launch of one of their novel surgical devices and later went on to get his Master of Science in Engineering, Science, & Technology Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, he worked as a Medical Device Innovation & Commercialization Consultant with the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, which gave him further insight into the field of emerging technologies in the field of health and medical care. He is currently working in the Futures Innovation Cell of a Top 25 national Consulting firm, working to identify emerging technologies in the next 5-10 years and how clients can leverage those tools into their current portfolios. Brady’s background brings a blend of academic entrepreneurship, industry entrepreneurial experience, and healthcare innovation. With this experience he is able to give insight into the innovation occurring within both large and small businesses and provides insight to the push for intrapreneurship in companies today.
Well this rounds out our talented, capable, diverse, and well-versed team. Hopefully this gives you a better view into who we are, how we got to where we are today, and why we came together to ultimately form the Educating Entrepreneurs team. There is much more to our four skilled team members beyond this quick snippet found here in this blog.
